Water Margin, the Liangshan outlaws on nine lines
The Water Margin heroes, their banners and their weapons on nine lines that pay left to right and right to left, with All prizes for a full screen and a mini game for three scatters.
Water Margin is the old novel of 108 outlaws gathered at Liangshan Marsh, and this Joker123 slot takes its cast and props straight from it. The title 水滸傳 hangs on a red and gold bar above the reels, wooden beams and chains frame them, and the symbols are brush-drawn: the heroes Song Jiang, Lin Chong and Lu Zhishen, each marked with a character from his name, the yellow banner reading 替天行道, the hall plaque 忠義堂, and a rack of broadswords, halberds and axes. The old page called it a million-prize machine. We'll stick to the ten screenshots.
Lines and bets
Five reels of three and nine lines, numbered down both sides in coloured balls. The bets in our shots are 0.06 GP a line (0.54 GP a spin) and 0.01 GP a line (0.09 GP a spin), under the Major, Random and Minor meters. The pay table says three or more matching symbols on a line pay left to right and right to left, so a line can start from either end. When a line wins, its symbols switch to colour and the rest of the screen turns grey, as with the axes and spears below.
What pays
The hall plaque tops the table at 1,000 for five, then the banner at 300, Song Jiang at 150, Lin Chong at 100 and Lu Zhishen at 50. The three weapons pay 20 for five. Every symbol also has an All prize for a screen full of it, from x50 for the axes to x2500 for the plaque. Any mix of heroes across the whole screen pays x50, any mix of weapons x15. The wild is the 水滸傳 emblem with a dragon behind it. It stands in for everything except the scatter, and a full screen of it pays x5000, which is the "full dragon" the old page mentioned.
Scatters and the mini game
The scatter is a black banner written with the heroes' names. Three pay 2, four pay 5 and five pay 10, and they also start the mini game once, twice or three times. The pay table shows it: a small hall with a row of four symbol windows, and a ring of symbols around it with prizes from x2 for the axes up to x200 for the plaque. It looks like the Water Margin arcade machines many players know.
