Monkey Slots: a character wheel, not a reel slot
Twelve character boxes with odds from 5 to 40, three side bets and a Monkey King riding a cloud round a ring of tiles. What the three screenshots show.
Three screenshots came with the old Monkey Slots page, and none of them shows a reel. Its text described vines, wooden planks and see-through reels, while the screens show a betting board and a ring of character tiles, the same game 918Kiss also lists as Monkey Story Plus. This page sticks to the screens.
The bet board
The first screen is the board. Four characters from the Monkey King stories each come in red, green and yellow, which makes twelve boxes, and each box shows the odds on top and your stake underneath.

A fifth column holds BANK at 2, TIE at 9 and PLAYER at 2. Below sit CHIPS (set to 50 here), BALANCE, BET, WIN, CLEAR BETS and START. In this screenshot a single 50 chip sits on the yellow girl, at odds of 20.
How a round plays
Press START and the board slides away. What's left is a ring of portrait tiles round a misty mountain, with a gate at the top labelled 南天门, the Southern Gate of Heaven, and a cave marked 水帘洞, the Water Curtain Cave, at the bottom. The Monkey King rides his cloud round the ring, and the tiles light up as he passes.
When he stops, a medallion in the centre shows the winning character ringed with its odds. In our two rounds that's the green demon with 10 and the Monkey King with 35, which matches the green Monkey King's odds on the board. A PLAYER or BANK sign lights up on the right at the same moment, which appears to settle the side bets. The JACKPOT counter on the left changed with every screenshot, from 296,200 to 834,800.
Reading the odds
The odds on the board already tell you which results are common and which are rare. A bull demon at 5 is meant to come up far more often than a yellow Monkey King at 40, and the last few rounds don't change the next one.

Questions people ask
Is Monkey Slots a slot machine?
Not on the screenshots the old page carried. They show a bet board with twelve character boxes and three side bets, and a ring of tiles that the Monkey King circles until the lights stop on a winner.
What do Bank, Tie and Player mean in Monkey Slots?
They are side bets on the board, at odds of 2, 9 and 2. After each round a PLAYER or BANK sign lights up beside the ring. The screens don't explain how the game decides between them.
Are Monkey Slots and Monkey Story Plus the same game?
They look identical: the same board, the same odds and the same ring of tiles. Monkey Story Plus has a short section on the 918Kiss page.
